Hello everyone! I'm Beverley Edwards-Miller!
I'm so thrilled that you're visiting SDA Women of the Web. One day in late
April, 2000, I started daydreaming about how great it would be to create a
women's online group for Adventist women and their friends. Well, wouldn't
you know it, one day Lina happened to sign the guestbook at my poetry
website, Bev's Inspirational Poetry,
and I found when I visited her website that she was an Adventist. I
e-mailed her with my idea of an Adventist women’s site and begged her to
come on board as my co-founder. She said yes!!! And so it began. We've
worked hard to get this webgroup up and going, and we hope that you will
find this a really wonderful place to be. I'm betting that once you get
involved with us, you're going to love it!
I'm married with no children and no pets (though those
roles are played lovingly and willingly by my sweet hubby). Up until
September, 2000, I worked full-time, but I am now a full-time (mature!)
student at a local university studying to become a Registered Dietician. I
enjoy leading out in the Women’s Ministries, Health, and Music departments
at my Church. My loves include music – playing the piano, singing and
conducting choirs; hand-crafting greeting cards; writing poetry, children's
stories and creating newsletters for Women’s Ministries; interior design;
public speaking on both women’s and health issues; facilitating
CHIP programs; reading; and creating
webpages and graphics on my computer. I love life and love having it in
abundance, and I am grateful that our Lord sees fit to use me in His
service. Cheers everyone!!

Hello ladies! My name is Lina Wawondatu-Cantwell.
Just like Bev said, she e-mailed me
her wonderful idea and asked me to join her in starting a web group for SDA
women. It was April 21, 2000. I was honored by the request and feel blessed
to join her in creating this web group for our Adventist women and their
friends. So I answered "YES, I will try my best". I believe this website
will be a blessing to all of us. So, thank you Bev!
So, about myself. Well.....I married
my best friend, Tripp. We have two children, Brandon and Nikyta. At the
time our group started, Nikyta was two and a half years old. I enjoy being a
"Stay at Home Mom" with her and doing things with my children. Now this
year Nikyta is third grade and I still be a
"Stay at Home Mom". My free time is spent maintaining my websites,
Ourspecialweb.com and
Lina's Place on the Net,
and I do flower-arranging and
practice painting at home.
Feel free to look around the
web-site. I am sure you will enjoy joining our SDA Women web group. With
this group you can meet a few new friends. I am sure a lot of beautiful
things will happen with our group, so please join us. After all, we're one
in the church, in the Web and in Christ! |
